Há quem diga que foi a melhor era do cinema, e que o aparecimento do sonoro acabou por "acabar" com a carreira de muitos atores e atrizes, que mais do que a voz ( e muitas vezes os sotaques), era a forma como se expressavam e transmitiam emoções  que era a verdadeira arte.
